Counterform, 2026

Installation

Stiftung Edelhof Ricklingen

04.06. - 28.06.2026

Counterform consists of transparent cellophane walls stretched between trees, carrying graffiti traces collected from the urban environment of Hanover. By transferring these marks of informal appropriation into the controlled aesthetics of a historic park landscape, the work creates a tension between urban improvisation and architectural order.

The title refers to the relationship between form and counterform, drawing attention to spaces that usually remain unseen. Rather than presenting a fixed object, the installation occupies a state of transition—between nature and cultural inscription, visibility and disappearance, individual trace and collective noise.
Its linear intervention appears almost intrusive, yet repeatedly dissolves into the surrounding landscape. Resisting clear interpretation, counterform remains fragment, threshold, and resonant structure: a temporary system of signs that questions the conditions of perception, memory, and inscription itself.
